Sessions will involve some meditation and gentle movement together with discussions, exercises and takeaway resources.
Topics covered will include Concentration and Focus, Opening to Sensation, Emotional Resilience, The Thicket of Thought, Mindful Communication and the Inner Critic. With Embodiment courses there will be slightly more movement & exercises that work directly with the body but no especial physical fitness is required and physical disability is not a problem. (It would be advisable to let me know in advance of any problems with mobility so I can adjust exercises accordingly.)
You will be encouraged to practice for a few minutes per day in order to get the most out of the teaching. A commitment to attend for the course duration is expected, with obvious exceptions due to illness etc. Diversity is welcome – indeed actively encouraged – and I have a policy of never turning anyone away due to lack of funds.
“I really found the sessions useful especially the exercises involving focus on a particular area. That focus has helped as a technique to use in times of intense activity/high pressure. The work on emotional intelligence allowing a better understanding of self and others is also very useful and helpful in a work environment. Highly recommend the course!” STEVE – Project Manager
“We were inspired by Anna’s down to earth approach to practising Mindfulness and we found her course a great introduction to exploring the positive benefits of Mindfulness in our everyday lives.” JACKIE and MARK – Parents in NW5
